Visión y Compromiso collaborates with diverse workforce partners and manages small and large grant programs and contracts that deliver culturally-and linguistically-specific programs to promote community health and wellness. Diabetes
Promotoras, promotores, and community health workers (P/CHWs) bring a unique ability to address barriers to diabetes prevention and management through their deep knowledge of and connections to the communities they serve. Their lived experience and cultural understanding allow them to build trust, engage authentically, and bridge the gap between clinical care and the daily realities of the people they support. Beyond providing health education, P/CHWs connect individuals to essential social and community resources, helping them access the services they need to prevent or manage diabetes. This holistic, community-centered approach makes P/CHWs a powerful force in promoting more equitable, accessible, and sustainable health outcomes.

Every Woman Counts
Every Woman Counts (EWC) provides free breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to California’s underserved populations. The mission of the Every Woman Counts Program is to mitigate the devastating medical, emotional and financial effects of breast and cervical cancer and eliminate health disparities for medically underserved, low-income individuals.
Gambling
Addiction to gambling affects a large part of the Latino community in California, leading many to economic losses and other problems. There is help for people who are having problems related to gambling, and there is also help for people who are affected by a family member or friend who gambles.
